Meet the Team

At Brooke Knows Breast, LLC we’re dedicated to supporting families with personalized care and expertise. Together, Brooke and Sophia are here to empower you through every step of your parenting journey. We can help you in pregnancy as you prepare, in the days or weeks after delivery, if you hit any bumps along the way, when you’re ready to start solids or return to work, and when the time comes to wean.

  • Founder of Brooke Knows Breast, LLC

Brooke has been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2015 after going through an intensive two year program at Drexel University.

She has two boys who are now in middle school and serving up different kinds of challenges these days, but her love for lactation started back when they were just babies. She worked through tons of different struggles with them; everything from embracing then learning to stay away from eat/play/sleep and navigate her own path, hospital stays with her second baby for weeks on end that demanded more pumping than she’d planned for, supply struggles, breastfeeding while traveling, learning how to continue to maintain supply once back to work, and then weaning and dealing with those emotions. It was through all of those trials that she found her passion for helping new families navigate this emotional, amazing time in their lives, and Brooke Knows Breast was born.

Brooke teaches prenatal breastfeeding classes for Main Line Health and Main Line Family Education, and volunteers to run a lactation support group at the Havertown YMCA. She resides in Havertown with her two boys and her beloved cat, Eddie. In her free time you can find her on her Peloton, enjoying a glass of wine, or doing something fun with her boys.

“As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, I’m passionate about supporting mothers at every stage of their breastfeeding journey. My own experience as a mother of two was both rewarding and challenging, which drives my desire to help other women navigate their unique paths. With my clinical background, I understand the complexity of breastfeeding and am committed to providing care that is empowering, supportive, and tailored to each mother’s needs.

Whether you’re just starting out or facing challenges, I’m here to offer guidance with a caring, nonjudgemental approach.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids, cherishing the moments that make this journey so special.”

Insurance and Billing

We are currently in-network with Aetna, Independence Blue Cross plans, and more recently Cigna, which usually provide lactation home visits with no co-pay. As for other insurance plans, we can furnish a superbill for you to submit for possible reimbursement. All health plans are now required to offer lactation coverage as per the Affordable Care Act, but some plans are grandfathered, and may not offer the benefit. Some, including those listed here, still have cost-sharing with the insured. Please check with your insurance for your specific plan coverage. If your insurance does not cover the fee, you will be responsible.
